Most of you already know that I am a self-proclaimed audiobook addict. They make my long commute to and from work each day enjoyable. On the days that I have projects at work that require hours of screening art, they make the day go faster. And as someone who suffers from insomnia, they help me relax and fill in the sleepless gaps. I tell you this because it’s not very often these days that I actually “read” a book. When books aren’t available in audiobook format that we want to check out for the blog, they usually go to my co-admin, kitt. When one of our favorite people *waves at Enn Bocci* contacted us about reading/reviewing ALL OF YOU by Christina Lee, we knew we wanted to check it out. Enn knows our tastes, and we respect her opinion immensely. The only problem? kitt couldn’t fit it into her hectic schedule. So it was that I found myself downloading the ARC and curling up with my cell phone.
Fast forward to my review of ALL OF YOU and our Q&A with the author, who is a sweetheart, here. Go ahead. I’ll wait…
Yep, kitt’s loss was my gain. Sorry, kitt. Not sorry 😉 I loved ALL OF YOU and Christina Lee’s Bennett (aka Swoony Boy).
What some of you may not know is that I’m also addicted to baseball. It’s always been a part of my life, from growing up with a dad who taught me to love the game, to marrying a man who loves the game, to teaching our kids to love the game. My son even pitched at the collegiate level, and a big part of his success was a good catcher. See where I’m going with this?
A sexy, emotional New Adult romance about a bad boy on the edge and a good girl about to lose control…The star catcher of the college baseball team isn’t supposed to have skeletons in his closet. But Daniel Quinn is hiding a guilty past so dark he refuses to let anyone get close. Except there’s something about gorgeous, studious Ella Abrams that goes beyond the electric attraction between them—something that makes him want to open up.Ella has suffered enough heartache and guilt to fill one of her psychology textbooks, but she keeps that part of herself hidden behind a bubbly exterior. Until she receives an anonymous call while working the suicide helpline and the voice on the other end touches something inside of her that she can’t ignore.Soon Ella and Quinn’s physical connection heats up, even as their deep and revealing hotline talks intensify. But by the time Ella realizes that her seductive jock and her sensitive caller are the same guy, it might be too late to save him—or to stop herself from falling too far.
BEFORE YOU BREAK can be read as a stand-alone as part of THE BETWEEN BREATHS SERIES, but I really, really hope you’ll read ALL OF YOU, which is Avery’s story. Her friends Ella (BEFORE YOU BREAK) and Rachel (WHISPER TO ME – Cover Reveal & Synopsis here) are also introduced in it.
So order, pre-order, read, follow. I’ll just be over here curled up with my cell phone…
